Cookies and browser storage

Current application storage

BTE language preference: bte.language. Product configuration: bte-product-selection-v1. The legacy workspace can store bte.boards.v4 and bte.study.v1; Profile Lab uses bte-lab-v1. These values remain in browser local storage until cleared; they are not advertising identifiers. This list does not assert that the hosting platform sets no cookies.

Client login session

When account login is enabled, the server uses the essential __Host-bte_session cookie for an authenticated session of up to 12 hours. It is Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict. Passwords and session tokens are not saved in browser localStorage. Logout expires the cookie. Existing hosting-platform cookies are separate.

Analytics and marketing

No analytics or advertising tracker is intentionally included in the application source. The earlier non-functional accept/reject banner has been removed. Before optional trackers or embeds are introduced, their storage and network behaviour must be audited and consent implemented where required.

Your controls

You can clear this site’s browser data using browser settings. This removes saved preferences and product selections. The language switch works even if browser storage is unavailable.
